Changes in Fall 2011!

School's out, and summer is in full swing! :) I cannot believe I'm going to be a JUNIOR in college this fall. (A-A-A WHOOP) I'm halfway done with my undergraduate years in college. Too crazy! These last two years have been pretty great, but next year is definitely going to be different. One of the many changes, is that I'm going to be moving into an apartment! :D I'm SO excited. Two years of dorm life was good, but I'm ready to move off campus to an apartment. Me and three wonderful girls will be moving into The Trails at Wolf Pen Creek. Its a really nice complex, with an awesome location! Its right off Wolf Pen Creek, this beautiful park in College Station, and its right across a huge amphitheatre where there are lots of concerts and events. Its just a really pretty place. I've actually been there once freshmen year for a Valentines Day picnic :) really pretty. Anyways here's a picture of the place!






So, basically... I'm REALLY excited. I actually move in on my birthday! August 20th. Cannot wait. I am super excited to move in with these three amazing girls! :)

[And this is Elizabeth! :D We're both in the same Catholic Sorority together, Kappa Theta Beta! :) Yeah, she's pretty awesome, what can I say? ;) ]



Aaaaand there is Hannah! :) She's Leslie's good friend, who I haven't quite met yet! But I'm super excited to meet her. I already know we're going to get along wonderful. She's really sweet :) I just didn't want to be a creeper and post a picture haha! ;D





Only 59 days until move-in day! :) Not like I'm counting...

A New Beginning

It's June 2011! (Yes I know I haven't written in FOREVER but I thought I'd write a bit more this summer!) Yep it's summer! :) Today June 21st is also Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. Happy First Day of Summer everyone! I can't believe its been SIX weeks since I finished up finals, packed up, and came back home to Corpus. It doesn't seem like its been that long, and yet at the same time, I feel like its been dragging along, somewhat. A LOT has happened in the last few months, but I'm doing my best to keep my head up. Its funny how you think you're SO sure of something, and then in the blink of an eye, everything changes. Its been really tough, but I'm trying to remind myself that God has a bigger plan for me. :)

My summer has been pretty uneventful. I'm taking a math class at the college back here. (Did I mention i HATE math? I really do lol and I always have). Despite not having taken a math class in four years lol so far, so good. I tried to get a job, but I'm pretty sure I applied way too late, so no job for me (yet!). I'm volunteering at Driscoll Children's Hospital again! I can't believe this is my SIXTH year volunteering at the hospital. Crazy right? I just love working with all the kiddos there. Just like last year, I'm volunteering in the Child Life Department. This summer, I'm on 4th Floor - Cardiology, Oncology/Hematology, & Surgery. A wide variety of kids :) I love it. Basically I just get to play with kids all day long. Its GREAT! I can't wait to go back tomorrow :)
