Third Time Around.

Howdy! I'm back in Aggieland, and Fall 2011 is back in swing. I can't believe I'm a Junior. In COLLEGE. When the heck did this happen?! I still remember graduating from High School, the summer before my freshmen year, and the day I moved into my dorm Freshmen year, two years ago. It seems like it was just yesterday! I've had some incredible experiences these last few years. I can't believe I'm halfway done with my college career at Texas A&M University. Thats so crazy! But on the brighter side, I have two years to fill with some amazing memories. I guess I better get started huh?

I'm all moved into my new apartment, which I absolutely LOVE. (Pictures to come). It is SO nice having my own place, my own room, a kitchen (I can bake now!!!), not to mention, three fabulous girls I call my roomies :) I'm really liking it so far. Despite a few minor problems (like our A/C breaking four or five times lol - don't worry. Its fixed now. For good... I hope lol), things are going pretty smoothly. I love having a kitchen! I get to actually cook, and bake delicious goodies! And the commute to campus isn't bad at all. So overall, the apartment thing is going pretty darn good.

Classes have started. I've survived the first two weeks of Junior year! So far, so good. I'm liking most of my classes. Some of them are pretty interesting. I'm really enjoying Medical Sociology, and Nautical Archeology (totally random humanities credit! But my prof is pretty legit!). I'm not too fond of my Advanced Methods of Social Research class, and Veterinary Entomology. Vet Ento is about BUGS. (eww!!!) I pretty much hate that class lol. Oh well. Any science class is better than what I endured in Biology & Chemistry my freshmen year. So... classes are going well so far. Lets see where this semester takes me :)

Oh and one last thing. I am SO ridiculously happy to be back at my Church here in College Station. St. Mary's is an incredible Catholic Church that I am so fortunate to be able to get involved in. It is such a blessing. The week before classes started I helped staff Welcome Weekend - a retreat for Freshmen and Transfer Students. It was a blast. Plus, my roomie was on leadership, so I got to spend a lot of time with her. We had a ton of fun, and I met so many awesome people! :) Here's some pictures from the retreat!

There are just so many amazing people at St. Mary's. Its just so great. :) I'm also getting involved in a new organization at St. Mary's. Its called Aggies Serving Another Person (ASAP). Basically they host different service projects throughout the semester, and you just do what you can. This morning I went with ASAP to the Millican House - an assisted living home. We went and played Bingo with the residents, and oh my goodness! It was SO fun :) I had such a great time. It was so nice visiting with them, and playing countless games of Bingo. Its such a blessing! I really can't wait till the next time we go. So yeah, I'm really excited about getting involved with ASAP this semester. I know it'll be great :)

Till next time,
xoxoxo
